Mr. Kennerly started his career in commercial real estate finance with First Union National Bank, the predecessor bank to Wachovia Bank and Wells Fargo Bank. During his 17 year tenure at Wells Fargo and its predecessors, Mr. Kennerly was responsible for the origination, pricing and structuring of various principal products including commercial mortgage backed securities, credit tenant lease financing, bridge debt, mezzanine debt and joint venture equity capital. Prior to joining PNC Bank, Mr. Kennerly spent 5 years at SunTrust Bank as a Senior Vice President in the National Real Estate group.
Mr. Kennerly is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) in addition to participating on a Regional Council for the ULI Carolinas Chapter. He is also a graduate of Leadership Charlotte Class 39.
Mr. Kennerly and his wife, both native Charlotteans, have two teenage boys. In his spare time, Mr. Kennerly enjoys fishing, water sports and exercise.

Commissioner Allen is passionate about bettering her community and has extensive experience volunteering with various organizations and boards. Prior to her appointment with Inlivian, she served on the boards for North Carolina Association of Black Lawyers and the John S. Leary Bar Association. She is a charter member of the Omega Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Commissioner Allen enjoys being a board member for Inlivian and looks forward to assisting with the progression of the agency.

As Atrium’s leader for Environmental Services (EVS), Esezele’s team does more than clean hospital rooms. With a strong commitment to Atrium Health’s mission to improve health, elevate hope and advance healing – for all, she's fixated with leading her team to act as if the hospital patients are their patients too. "While we are not doctors or nurses, given how we can impact a patients experience in our facilities, we too are saving lives by keeping the environment clean providing an infection free environment.
Esezele has more than 15 years of professional experience in cost reduction, contracting, strategic communications, project management, process improvement and vendor management. Prior to joining Atrium Health, she worked at CB Richard Ellis, Inc. where she managed $50 million of vendor spend on the Global Corporate Services team. In that role, she drafted and negotiated hundreds of contracts which yielded cost savings, developed national sourcing strategies, established performance management tools, created sourcing strategies for key clients.
The INLIVIAN Board of Commissioners is a seven-member board appointed by the Charlotte City Council. This board consists of two members appointed directly by the Mayor and five appointed by other members of Council. At least one member must be a resident of assisted housing.
Commissioners serve staggered three-year terms and, as the governing body, set policies that govern the operations of INLIVIAN and chart the direction of current and future programs. This board ensures that we operate within the law and according to HUD regulations. New policies or acts of business requested by the CEO must first be approved or authorized through the Board of Commissioners before they are put into practice.

Please send your request at least two business days before the meeting date. The INLIVIAN Board of Commissioners meets on the third Tuesday of each month except July.
