Driving Equity in Housing

Expanding Solutions for First-Time Buyers

In September, CORE’s Destination Homeownership hosted a two-day homeownership event, offering workshops and financial resources to INLIVIAN employees and residents considering home ownership. With the help of our partner Fifth Third Bank everyone in attendance was able to receive onsite free credit checks and best practices to achieve homeownership. If you are interested in learning more about homeownership, and would like to begin your personal journey, INLIVIAN is here to help. Be sure to check in with our People & Culture team for their next session with Fifth Third Bank.

After Helene

Creating Rainbows after the Rain

Hurricane Helene has now gone down as one of the deadliest hurricanes in history. While Charlotte, was largely spared, our sister agencies were not so lucky. At INLIVIAN our first mission is to serve, and we demonstrated just that when we banded together to support residents of Asheville and Spartanburg housing authorities. As soon as the storm passed the agencies reached out to us for help. Our team spent the next day collecting water, food and toiletries to fill up an entire U-Haul truck and passenger van to deliver to the devastated communities. A special thank you to everyone who participated and embodied the INLIVIAN spirit.

Art Meets Opportunity

A Day of Arts and Entrepreneurship for Youth

Do Greater Charlotte visited The Gaston at North End for a day of arts with our youth. Through a partnership with CORE Youth Services, participants learned the process of screen printing. “This exposure is great,” Jonathan Nettles, CORE Youth Program Manager explains. “They are teaching the kids how to monetize it.” Screen printing is a multi-billionaire dollar industry that continues to grow. Offering unique experiences such as this, allows our students to explore different career pathways and encourages entrepreneurship. It is a part of our ongoing commitment to creating communities where our residents, including youth, can work, live, and thrive.
