The tenant-based Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) waiting list is currently closed to new applicants. There are currently more than 6,000 households on this list. You will receive an annual letter confirming your interest in remaining on the waiting list. Please make sure you respond to this letter every year.
If you are currently on the HCV (Section 8) waiting list and need to update your information, click on this Applicant Portal link to update your application.
If you are currently using the old system, you must register again for the new Portal.
You will need the following information to complete your account activation:
· Registration Code
· Email address
· Social Security Number
If you are having issues logging into the Applicant Portal, you can send an email to HCVwaitlist@cha-nc.org with the updated information. Be sure to include your name and Social Security number in the email.
